We welcome everyone to our centre whatever the reasons for coming. It is good to talk in a quiet comfortable room in a safe environment with a Counsellor who is trained and ready to listen. We value everyone and we will keep everything you tell us in the strictest confidence.
Pregnancy Testing with immediate results and Counselling is available
A counsellor is at hand to talk through any worries and any difficult decisions you may have. There will be time and space to look at your options and the support available to you. We are here to enable you to come to your own informed decision.

Decision Counselling
You are facing an unplanned pregnancy and feeling that this cannot possibly be happening to you and wish that you could turn the clock back. You may feel isolated, confused and panicked.
Firstly, these reactions are all normal and our counsellors here at Lifelife will help you to explore your circumstances and all the options available to you. We are here to listen and support you and help you arrive at your own informed decision.
We work in a way that values the individual needs of each person. Our counsellors are non-directive and non-judgemental and work in a way that values the individual needs of each person and offers to help no matter what decision is arrived at.
An appointment can easily be arranged by telephoning, emailing or dropping in to Lifeline Centre.
All our sessions are free and last approximately 1 hour and no appointment is necessary.
Pregnancy Support
Lifeline's objective is to provide a personal counsellor throughtout the pregnancy offering continued one-to-one emotional support and any practical help when needed i.e. baby clothes, pram, cot etc.
Post Termination Counselling
Lifeline's objective is to provide professional counselling for post termination loss no matter how long ago it took place. Taking part in our counselling programme, working with a caring and compassionate counsellor, can be the start of new beginnings and new life for the woman!

Couple Counselling
on Pregnancy and Fertility Issues
We welcome couples who come for counselling
on pregnancy and fertility issues. A trained counsellor will be available to listen and help them to express their true feelings. This can benefit them immensely and can result in helping the couple come to their own
shared decision. We are unable to offer couple counselling for those
who have relationship issues and suggest you look up our links page
for appropriate referrals to Scottish Marriage Care or Couple
Counselling Lothian.
Telephone Counselling
There is always someone available at the other end of the telephone. We can offer you an hour of listening, and will phone you back if you prefer.
Miscarriage Counselling
This is a very real sorrow and women need to grieve over the loss of their child. We are here to help you through your bereavement.
Infertility Counselling
We offer counselling for any problems surrounding infertility.
Post - Natal Depression
Many women experience deep feelings of Depression after the birth of a child. We can offer Counselling and support for as long as needed.
Practical Support
If you decide to continue the Pregnancy and need help with baby clothes, pram, cot, moses basket etc, we can provide you with everything you need.
